The American Heart Association (AHA) has developed ACLS Instructor Essentials Course materials to provide quality & consistency in all AHA ACLS Instructor Training. This course will prepare instructor candidates to teach ACLS Provider Courses according to the most recent 2020 AHA guidelines.

This is a 2-day course for new ACLS Providers or those whose certification has lapsed.

The American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course is for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, and paramedics, as well as others who need an ACLS course completion card for job or other requirements.

This is a 1-day renewal course for current ACLS Providers.

American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor Course is intended for all individuals whose primary focus is education and training of healthcare providers and the general public in proper cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques.

This American Heart Association Course is for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of hospital settings.

  • Teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both in-and out-of-hospital settings
  • Added emphasis on team resuscitation
  • Focus on the critical concepts of high-quality CPR

  • Teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both in-and out-of-hospital settings
  • Added emphasis on team resuscitation

This American Heart Association Heartsaver course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED to meet job, regulatory or other requirements.  This course covers adult, infant and child CPR.

  • Skills are taught using AHA’s research proven Practice-While-Watching technique, which allows Instructors to observe students, provide   feedback and guide students’ acquisition of skills
  • Modular format creates course flexibility
  • Ideal for learners who prefer group interaction and feedback from an Instructor while learning skills
  • Each student receives the highest quality course materials to supplement their learning
  • Skills practice and testing included during course to ensure students demonstrate competency performing skills

This American Heart Association Heartsaver Pediatric Course is geared towards anyone involved in childcare who have a duty to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. This audience includes childcare workers, teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, youth organizations, and coaches for children’s sports organizations. This course is also ideal for parents, grandparents, extended family, babysitters, and guardians.  This course is required for all licensed Daycares in the State of Montana.

Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.

This is a 2-day PALS Provider course for new PALS providers or those whose certification has lapsed.

The American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support course is for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children. These include personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units, such as physicians, nurses, paramedics and others who need a PALS course completion card for job or other requirements.

  • Simulated pediatric emergencies teach and reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics.
  • Emphasizes the importance of basic life support CPR to patient survival, the integration of effective basic life support with pediatric life support interventions, and the importance of effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation.

This is a 1-day PALS Renewal course for current PALS providers.
